Youth Program Fee Descriptions

Youth Rowing

$250 / $425

Youth rowing includes a 3 day/week program that focuses on middle school rowing and skills development or a 5 day/week program for competitive high school rowers.

Spring/Summer fees include RCRC membership and coaching fees.

Costs not included: • Rocket City Rowing racing kit (unisuit or jersey and black rowing trou, and RCRC spirit gear), • racing fees (regatta entry fees, team hotel, lunch and snacks on race day, and equipment transportation costs), • spring banquet

Period Covered: March 1, 2018 – August 31, 2018

Youth Rowing (Coxswain)

$50

Summer Youth Learn-to-Row Camps

Learn the fundamentals of the ultimate team sport

  • Basic sweep rowing techniques on ergometers (rowing machines) and in 8-person rowing shells
  • Boat and crew terminology
  • Overall physical conditioning, flexibility, and core strength
  • Water safety and safe boat handling techniques
  • Teamwork
  • Race Strategy

Camp Fee includes: 20 hours of instruction and exercise, camp t-shirt, snacks and lunch on Saturday, rowing through the rest of summer

Session I:  Early June
Monday – Friday June 9  9:00 am – 11:30 am
Saturday  9:30 am-12:00 p.m.

Session II   Early July
Monday – Friday June 9  9:00 am – 11:30 am
Saturday  9:30 am-12:00 p.m.

Regatta Fees

$85 – $125

The costs associated with attending a regatta are not included in RCRC seasonal fees. These fees include regatta fees, boat transportation and maintenance costs, lunch and snacks during the regatta and hotel expenses when necessary to meet the regatta schedule.

Team Parties and Events
Time to celebrate the end of the rowing season and all we have learned together. Buffet meal at Mandarin House in Hampton Cove. No fee for athletes; nominal fee for other attendees (parents, siblings, and other guests).

Supplemental Registration Forms  

Code of Conduct and AAHSA Physical forms listed below are required to be filled out on an annual basis. A Swim Test form must be provided to document successful completion of this one-time requirement. To complete the registration process these forms need to be printed, completed as required and provided to the RCRC Juniors Program Coordinator. Questions regarding these documents may be directed to the Juniors Head Coach or Juniors Program Coordinator.
